This one’s a thrill, I must say - not least of all because (this time) no sexual favors were exchanged for this Time Out New York Critic’s Pick recommendation. In fact, they asked me not to! Also, the Skittles banner ad at left is a delight - hoping one day soon the world (or at least the 45 people who can fit in the Stage Left Studio) will “taste my rainbow!”
You like me! You really like me!!!
I finally won something - even if it was [just] a story slam on Broome Street.

Get to Know Your Beauty Love Truth Cast: Mark Sam Rosenthal
Hello Beauty Love Truthers! Another show is almost upon us - this Thursday, 8PM at The PIT! Musical guest is our wonderful friend (& Schoolhouse Rock! composer) Bob Dorough and opener is the amazing Sara Schaeffer. You can get tickets here.
A new show on the horizon means that it’s time for another round of getting to know your cast members. First up is Mark Sam Rosenthal. Mark Sam and I met when we were on one of NYC’s earliest all GLBTQ improv team Feathers and Flannel back in 2003. Since then, Mark Sam has had a very interesting career writing and staring in Blanche Survives Katrina in a FEMA Trailer Named Desire, guest hosting Sirius Radio’s Out Q and freelance producing for Comedy Central and Logo. Let’s see how he does with the Beauty Love Truth Q&A, shall we? -Louie Pearlman

One of my most revealing interviews to date is by my delightful fellow statesman Brandon Voss in DLNQNT - I “tell all” about my painful weakness for Speedos and strippers. Click the photo or read it HERE.
Another great review from New York Theatre Review - I don’t think anyone hasn’t liked this show except for the born-again Christian who walked out halfway through Monday night.
